My newest reading is Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis.  New vocab words to look up later: malediction and copse.  I've heard them and can make a good guess but really want to be sure of the meaning.  So far, the story stars a character, whom we first meet as Pedestrian, named Ransom.  After just the first chapter, he seems to have the character flaw of being a coward; possibly not a coward but seems overly cautious and timid.  Can't wait till I can pick it up tomorrow night, though.  That's a good book for you.
