Yes, we have lighting. Did he complete the job? No. But at least we can see to eat dinner. We had some damage to a line on the outside of the house when we had the big ice storm. This problem has yet to be fixed. The good news: we haven't had to pay for the wonderful lighting job yet.
So March, and we are just getting into the swing of things with school. It has taken us three months to recover from Christmas break and weeks and weeks of sickness. This has been the worst season for our family. I was about ready to call it quits on being social when Spring Break came along. It seems to have calmed the storm.
My mother broke out the ressurection eggs and went through them with my ds and dd. They open each egg which contains an item symbolizing a part of the ressurection story. The kids really like to look at all the little pieces. Well, shortly after my nephew and his wife arrived, they told me that as they were pulling up to my parent's house, they saw my dd pretending to nail my ds to my dad's flag pole. "What are they doing?" Answer, "ds is Jesus."
My mom has made a great tradition for Easter. Now, let it be known that we don't do the E. Bunny (which really confuses my family). We want Easter to be about Jesus, not about baskets full of sugar (although let me just say, bring it on with the chocolate). This current tradition has everyone begging to come to my mom's. She and anyone chosen to hide eggs strategically places plastic eggs filled with quarters all over her living room and then...release the hounds...we come running. Big and small, there's eggs for all! It is very fun; it's even more fun when one of my nephews drops his basket and eggs/quarters become first come first serve. That has happened on more than one occasion.
Can't say I would have life any other way.
