worldlighterbooks.com

Almost ready to launch, worldlighterbooks.com is going to be a great resource for Lamplighter Books for less. I hope to eventually have homeschool resources and some of the great classics that we enjoy at home. I am really enjoying getting this ready. What motivates me is that we are using the procedes to fund our passion for missions.

God has inspired this whole thing, although I didn't see the big picture at first. I think because He wants me to be dependent on Him for this and not on myself--also to keep the focus on missions and not on making money.

Well, enough business. School went great today. I need to get dd a new workbook. She has exhausted her resources (meaning she's scribbled in both Singapore books and both Kumon books) and needs something new. Also, I had been beating myself up for scheduling things in advance and then not getting them done so it looked like we were a month behind. I am scrapping the whole thing and calling it "caught up with" so I can move on to cheerier days!! Can I get an Amen?

Lots on the to-do list tomorrow. We are supposedly getting new lighting, although the guy who is giving us a deal has been giving us the run-around instead. "Tuesday for sure," he said this weekend. I told DH that I absolutely will not wait on him for Tuesday. If his guys don't show, he's fired! (We've been promised the work since Dec so I'm not being mean).

We are learning a lot about contractors. If they don't give a specific time and day, i.e. "we'll come out early next week," they won't show. One company in particular, who's name I have to mention otherwise the story wouldn't be funny, didn't show when we called the first time. Integrity Construction(note the name) got another call from us well after the effects of the ice storm died down. They again didn't show and four weeks later left a business card in the door handle, while we were home no less. DH offered to call them and suggest they change their name to "Say One Thing and Do Another Construction."

Too funny about the construction company.

New blog looks great! I'll go change the link on my blog. :)

I'm laughing - and thinking how would they put that on their business cards?

Tell me more about your "book store"!
